Robin Rosenberg, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a graduate of Trinity College (with honors) and of Temple University Medical School (where he made Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society). He did his internship and residency at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and completed his instruction at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received advanced surgical training as a fellow in the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He served as a clinical instructor at the Cleveland Clinic and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Rosenberg has been board certified in surgery, through the American Board of Surgery, since 1983, and he has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgery (FACS) since 1985. He has been board certified in colorectal surgery, through the American Board of Colorectal Surgery, since 1984, and has been a Fellow of American Society of Colorectal Surgeons (FASCRS) since 1990.
Dr. Rosenberg has been a member of Aria Health's medical staff since 1983, and he serves as its Head of the Section on Colorectal Surgery. He is a past president of Pennsylvania Society of Colon-Rectal Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Rosenberg has more than 25 years of successful experience as a private practitioner specializing in colorectal surgery, proctology, general surgery, endoscopy, and laparoscopic surgery – with special emphasis on minimally invasive surgery. He has lectured on these topics.
Dr. Rosenberg helped to develop Aria's now extensive laparoscopic surgery services. His practice is concentrated through Aria Health and in Northeast Philadelphia, where he performed the Aria community's first laparoscopic colon resection.
