Gynecologists at our center provide the highest level of skill and offer the very best in care. These specialists have first-rate training and extensive experience. They have exceptional records in patient care and approach every case individually and with a leading-edge level of knowledge.
Our center’s physicians are active in professional societies and participate in continuing medical education to keep up to date on the latest strategies for helping their patients. Each has areas of special interest and expertise while still offering general, women’s-health care. These doctors are board-certified in gynecology and obstetrics. They have been involved in research, have served on a variety of medical committees, published in their field, and taught and been invited speakers at Frankford and other medical centers.
Richard K. Krauss, MD, is a graduate of Cornell University and of Hahneman Medical College (now Drexel University College of Medicine). He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital. He has served as a faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University since 2002, and is currently a clinical associate professor there. He served as a faculty member in Ob-Gyn at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from 1981 to 2002. Dr. Krauss has had hospital appointments at Pennsylvania Hospital since 1981 and at Frankford Hospitals since 2002. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and had been honored repeatedly in Philadelphia Magazine as a “Top Doc” in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Krauss has special interests in:
- minimally invasive, laparoscopic gynecologic surgery;
- hysteroscopic sterilization, endometrial ablation, and resection of intracavitary fibroids;
- gynecologic office ultrasound;
- and colposcopy and treatment for abnormal Pap smears.
Deborah S. Schrager, MD, is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude) and of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital. She has served as a faculty member in ob-gyn at Thomas Jefferson University and at University of Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania Hospital). She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Philadelphia Magazine has previously selected her, among Philadelphia-area physicians, for “Top Docs for Women” and “Top Ten Ob/Gyn Doctors.” Dr. Schrager joined the Center for Gynecology & Women’s Health in 2007.
|Amy Abouzied, MD, FACOG, graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. She received her medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. She went on to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at University of Maryland in Baltimore, and continued her training at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Medical Center with a Fellowship in Endoscopy and Pelvic Surgery in 2012.|
Udele Joyce Tagoe, MD, specializes in general gynecology and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS). She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After earning her Bachelor's degree from Duke University, Dr. Tagoe received her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School. During her residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, she received several awards including an award for excellence in teaching medical students and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) award of surgical excellence.
Dr. Sabeena Pradhan, MD , is a gynecologist at Aria - Jefferson Health's Center for Gynecology and Women's Health on April 11. Dr. Pradhan received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. and completed her OB/GYN residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the United Kingdom, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American Urogynecological Society.
