Additional Educational Expenses
Accepted students will receive details regarding additional educational expenses prior to their enrollment. The average cost of books is $800, uniforms $300 and supplies $200. These are indirect costs incurred by the student by attending AHSN, but are not paid directly to AHSN.

Tuition Payment
The Bursar's Office mails tuition invoices to students approximately one month before the start of each term. Students will receive a tuition invoice for the fall term in August, for the winter term in December and for the spring term in April. The tuition invoice must be paid in full by the first day of nursing classes. Students who have not made arrangements to pay their tuition and fees before the first day of class each term are subject to a late payment fee of $50. Settlement of all financial obligations with AHSN rests with the student or the student's parents ( if the student is considered a dependent student). Failure to receive a tuition statement does not excuse a student from paying tuition and fees before attending class each term. Tuition invoices are also viewable from the SONIS System.

Payment Plan
AHSN manages an in-house payment plan to assist students in paying their tuition invoices. The payment plan allows students to break up their tuition/fee payments into three installments. The 1st installment will be 50% of the tuition/fees owed; the 2nd and 3rd payment will be 25% of the tuition/fees owed. The payment plan is available each term and costs $125 per term of enrollment. Students must enroll in the payment plan before the tuition due date each term. AHSN reserves the right to deny the payment plan option to students based on past payment history.

Institutional Refund Policy:
- End of second week - full refund
- End of fourth week - 50% refund
- After fourth week - 0% - no refund

Title IV Refund Policy:
The Financial Aid Office is required by federal law to recalculate federal financial aid eligibility for students who completely withdraw from AHSN prior to completing 60% of the term. The R2T4 calculation is based upon the concept that students earn their financial aid in proportion to the amount of time in which they are enrolled. Once 60% of the term is completed, a student is considered to have earned 100% of their financial aid. If a student earned less aid than was disbursed, the Financial Aid Office will be required to return all or a portion of their Title IV funds.

Applying for Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 Academic Year
Students applying for financial aid should  complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) before May 1st of each year. You can complete the application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please indicate Aria Health School of Nursing's Federal School Code (009723) on the FAFSA application. A great feature of the online FAFSA is the ability to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. The IRS Data Retrieval system quickly links your FAFSA to your previously filed 2016 federal tax information. After linking your FAFSA to your 2016 federal tax information, the IRS Data Retrieval system will update your FAFSA by pulling the information into the required FAFSA fields.
