Joins the Staff of Aria Health as Director of
the Breast Health Program
Breast surgeon Sun Yong (Sunny) Lee, MD, FACS, has recently been named to the position of Director of the Breast Health Program at Aria Health, the largest healthcare provider in Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County.
The former assistant director at the Jefferson Breast Care Center, and an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Lee trained as a Fellow in breast surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and practiced as a breast care specialist at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, Connecticut. She was a member of the faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and was recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors in breast care.
The Breast Health Program at Aria Health approaches breast care as an important area of medical focus, and provides a comprehensive range of breast health services for women and men. Its multidisciplinary team consists of experts in the care of breast issues, both benign and cancerous.
Dr. Lee received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. She completed her internship and residency at Pennsylvania Hospital and she was a Research Fellow in the Harrison Department of Surgical Research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, focusing on tumor immunology. She also completed a Fellowship in Trauma at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
