Aria’s Dr. Robert Danoff Receives
POFPS Award of Merit

Dr. Robert Danoff, Program Director for the Combined Family Practice and Emergency Medicine Residency Program as well as the Family Practice Residency Program at Aria Health, recently received the 2012 Frederick J. Solomon, D.O., Award of Merit. The award, presented by the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society (POFPS), was presented to Dr. Danoff in recognition of his significant contribution to osteopathic education in Pennsylvania.

In addition to his duties at Aria, Dr. Danoff is a clinical professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and medical director for “Back On My Feet”, an organization that helps the homeless “one step at a time.” Dr. Danoff also serves as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP).

A fellow of the ACOFP, Dr. Danoff received the ACOFP’s 2012 Distinguished Service Award and was named the ACOFP’s 2011 Educator of the Year. He was also among the top five finalists for the American Osteopathic Association/American Osteopathic Foundation 2011 Mentor of the Year.

Dr. Danoff is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He also holds master’s degrees from Syracuse (N.Y.) University and the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse.

The Frederick J. Solomon, D.O., Award of Merit was presented to Dr. Danoff during the POFPS President’s Installation Luncheon, on May 4, 2012, held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association’s 104th Annual Clinical Assembly at the Valley Forge Hotels and Convention Complex in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
