Congratulations to the School of Nursing Class of 2009!
The Frankford Hospital School of Nursing, Aria Health, proudly announces the graduation of the Class of 2009, which included the August 2008, December 2008, and the April 2009 classes, with formal ceremonies held on Wednesday, May 6.
The Honorable Michael A. Nutter, Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, was the guest speaker for the Ceremony, which took place at the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel in Langhorne. Mayor Nutter gave a light-hearted speech about how a nursing career will not make the new nurses (monetarily) rich, however it will enrich their lives and those they serve. The Mayor stated that even in this age of technology, nurses can be assured that their service-oriented careers will be of significant value heading into the future. Mayor Nutter congratulated the Frankford Hospital School of Nursing graduates into their new profession.
Kudos to Aria Health's Trauma Program!
The full day survey of Aria Health’s Trauma Program conducted on Thursday, April 23 by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) went extremely well. The survey team commented on the excellent clinical care provided to trauma patients, multidisciplinary rounding by the team, and an effective Performance Improvement (PI) program. The PI results demonstrated continuing, incremental improvement in clinical documentation across all disciplines, but the surveyor specifically noted ER nursing results. The survey team applauded these efforts and the results which are reflected in Aria Health’s excellent patient outcomes.
