Aria Health Honors its Nurses
During 2012 Nurses Week
Annual celebration was highlighted by the theme: “Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring”
Aria Health, the largest healthcare provider in Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, was proud to honor the work of its nursing staff as it celebrated the 59th annual National Nurses Week, May 6 – 12, 2012. Among other highlights, Aria provided nurses with gifts, special cafeteria treats and goodies, along with hosting an annual nursing excellence award luncheon on May 9.
“We are so grateful for the work of our nursing staff," said Michelle Conley, RN, BSN, MBA, FABC, Chief Nursing Officer for Aria Health. "And we are proud of the empathy, unending compassion, and superior care they provide our patients on a daily basis."
Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6, marked as RN Recognition Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession. Every year, National Nurses Week focuses attention on the diverse ways America's 3.1 million registered nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals. This year, the American Nurses Association (ANA) has selected "Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring " as the theme for 2012.
