Police Memorial Dedication at Torresdale Campus

On Friday November 12, family, friends, hospital staff, and Fraternal Order of Police honored the memory of Officer John Stratton with a special plaque and dedication ceremony  held at the Torresdale Campus. Officer Stratton was killed in the line of duty on April 25, 1970 at Knights and Ellicott Roads across from the Torresdale Campus.

The special memorial plague was placed on the grounds outside the Pavilion Building. The Stratton family along with 200 police officers gathered to remember not only a dedi-
cated police officer, but a husband, father and brother.

Special thanks go to Joseph Oleyn, Director of Security Services, the Security staff, and the efforts of the many participants from the Fraternal Order of Police.
