Alliance Cancer Specialists unveiled their updated chemotherapy and injection room on Monday, following a weekend-long makeover by HGTV “Real Estate Intervention” star and set stager extraordinaire Cora Sue Anthony. During the ceremony, the room was dedicated in memory of Aria Health Cancer Center patient, and namesake of the Beverly Fund, Beverly Pierandozzi, and author, Lori Hope.
“I feel like we won the lottery for the patients who are here," said Ann Marie Edwards, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Alliance Cancer Specialists.
Courtesy of the Beverly Fund and Rooms That Rock 4 Chemo, the room’s professional makeover occurred on the weekend of November 16-18, with the unveiling occurring the morning of November 19. Cora Sue Anthony orchestrated the redesign, which includes: new paint, curtains, stenciling, floor-to-ceiling wall art, wall sconces, and a new nurse’s station.
According to Beverly Fund Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tracy Sestilli, the transformational project will do more than just brighten up the Cancer Center space. “This will help uplift the patients and make them feel like they're less getting treatment for cancer, and more like they're on a bit of a getaway.”
