Aria Health Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Michelle Conley, RN, BSN, MBA, FABC, recently earned the designation of Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP), which is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite of nurse leaders in executive practice.

To earn the CENP, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree to adhere to the Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CENP examination.

“Michelle’s colleagues at Aria Health recognize that she is an elite nurse leader in executive practice,” said Kathleen Kinslow, CRNA, EdD, MBA, President and CEO of Aria Health. “And we are proud that the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) also recognizes Michelle’s unique abilities by providing her with this elite designation.”

As CNO, Michelle leads nursing operations at Aria Health.  Prior to joining Aria, she most recently served as Associate Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Pennsylvania Hospital, where she was also a staff nurse and Nursing Director in the Acute Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and Labor and Delivery Units, and Clinical Director of Women’s Health Services and Psychiatry.  Prior to her tenure at Pennsylvania Hospital, Michelle directed the Dissociative Disorders Program and the Kirkbride Apartment Program at The Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital.  She was also a staff nurse in inpatient psychiatry at Friends Hospital.

Michelle received an associate degree from Pennsylvania State University upon graduation from Aria Health’s School of Nursing.  She went on to later earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rosemont College.  Michelle is a past recipient of Pennsylvania Hospital’s Emil and Lynn Hubschman Award, and an active member of both the American Nurses Association (ANA) and American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE).
