Aria Health Presents “Women’s Health Update” 
 
in Conjunction with National Women’s

Health Week


Keynote Speaker Carole Saline highlights evening focused on women’s health needs 

 

Aria Health recently hosted approximately 100 guests at its “Women’s Health Update,”  which event featured presentations from leading women’s health experts, along with a keynote presentation given by award-winning Journalist, Broadcaster and Author, Carol Saline.

Hosted at Aria’s Torresdale Campus, the panel discussion was tailored to meet the goal of National Women’s Health Week, which seeks to empower women to make their health a top priority.  Topics included: “How to Be Good to Yourself,” “How to Optimize Health while Minimizing Risk,” “Latest in Minimally Invasive Surgery” and “What Women Want to Know About Women’s Health.”

 

Saline, the winner of several dozen humanitarian and journalism awards, served as moderator of the event and captured the audience’s attention with stories from her four decades of working in the public spotlight.

 

Aria physicians Gregory C. Bolton, Sr., MD, Chairman of Aria’s Department of Gynecology (pictured with Carol Saline), and Jennifer Chalfin Simmons, MD, FACS, Breast Surgeon and Director of Aria’s Breast Health Program, along with Nurse Practitioner Tracy McGorry, BSN, MSN, CRNP, rounded out the panel and provided valuable health-related information geared toward the audience’s needs, including diet and exercise tips, breast and bone health, as well as minimally invasive, robotic-assisted, gynecologic surgery.

 

The bi-annual series is produced by Aria Health, an organization with a long tradition of making disease prevention and health promotion accessible and appealing to its patients, families and community.  The next “Women’s Health Update” event will take place at Aria’s Bucks County Campus in Fall 2011.
