Family Practice/Emergency Medicine Curriculum

Program Director: Robert Danoff DO, MS, FACOFP

Associate Program Director: Stuart Friedman, DO
Program Number: 163911
Program Length: 5 years

The combined Family Practice/Emergency Medicine residency program is designed to enable the resident to be fully eligible for board certification in both specialties. This is a unique program that prepares the resident for practice in a variety of office, urgent, emergency room, rural, urban or hospital settings in almost any geographic locale.

Additionally, the program focus is on the resident and upon their individual professional passions and interests. The electives are utilized to tailor the program in this manner, so it is truly a unique program for each resident. Upon graduation, the FP/EM residents are trained to handle a wide range of medical presentations in a full spectrum of patients and situations.

The didactic component of the program devotes approximately ten hours per week to a core curriculum designed to augment the clinical training of each resident. Additionally, the three locations of the Aria Health provide a well-rounded exposure to a diverse patient population with differing medical needs.

If you desire a full scope of ambulatory, continuity, emergency medical and hospital training that will enhance your professional qualifications as well as options for the future, please consider our combined FP/EM program. Please contact the program director: Dr. Danoff at rdanoff@ariahealth.org for additional information.
