Aria Physician Wins Service Award
Congratulations to Dr. Rob Danoff, Program Director for the Combined Family Practice and Emergency Medicine Residency Program as well as the Family Practice Residency Program at Aria Health, for being presented with the 2012 Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP).
The Distinguished Service Award is presented each year by the outgoing president to an ACOFP member who demonstrates outstanding service to the profession during that presidential year.
In presenting the award to Dr. Danoff, Immediate Past-President George Sawabini, DO, FACOFP dist. said, "I know of the many hours you have contributed to osteopathic education, including time and travel required for residency inspections, and being a mentor to countless young physicians. This year's award builds on last year, when we presented Dr. Danoff with the ACOFP Osteopathic Family Medicine Educator of the Year."
That award honors an individual who exemplifies the osteopathic family medicine profession's highest standards of excellence in teaching; demonstrates commitment to osteopathic philosophy and the profession; exemplifies and encourages osteopathic principles when teaching; who has made significant, commendable and long-standing contributions to the academic advancement of osteopathic students, residents and the osteopathic profession; and who demonstrates compassion and leadership in the role of educator.
